The Pirates of Penzance - Stantonbury Theatre 1st to 4th May 2024

This will be our second G&S under the baton of the brilliant David Anstice-Pim. He led us in HMS Pinafore in May 2023 to much acclaim.

Dave is joined by Shona Gilchrist who is new to directing Wolverton G&S. We are delighted to welcome her as an experienced and innovative director of Gilbert and Sullivan opera.

We are preparing for you a production that will be full of fun and humour, with highly individual characters. There will as ever be some fantastic singing to enjoy, with some serious solos, some thunderous chorus numbers and some very clever trios.  It will be a joyous production for our times.

Just think. The original Pirates had its world premiere in a tiny theatre in Paington. The Bijou was a 50 seater. We have so much more room! You can read more about that first production here..
