Jean Bates
Jean is a founder member of the Wolverton G&S. Never one to seek the limelight, here is Jean – second from right – looking suitably concerned as some pirates approach in 1993.
Of course it was together with husband Doug, also a founder member, that Jean enjoyed being on stage most. Here they are backstage together.
Here they are again in our 1991 production of The Yeomen of the Guard. Sadly, Doug is no longer with us, but Jean is still an active member of our group, although she has swapped the stage for the tea urn in recent years!
