Media Kit
This page has resources to help print and media journalists and bloggers to write about Wolverton Gilbert and Sullivan Society
Wolverton G&S Society
Wolverton G&S Society is a thriving and successful amateur music group. We have been performing since 1975.
We perform the works of Gilbert & Sullivan as well as other good musicals and we bring people together with songs and smiles. It’s like magic, but the secret is just good friends and great music!
Our Next Show
A Summer Picnic concert
We present another picnic concert in the grounds of York House. This time we give you a complete production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s famous first show, ‘Trial by Jury’ with some extra numbers.
‘Trial’ famously includes the song ‘A Nice Dilemma’ and we’ve taken that as the theme for our concert.
So our first half has songs from G&S, Sweeney Todd, Avenue Q and tick tick BOOM! all about the tragic and comedic trials and tribulations of love, law and life.
5:00 pm Saturday, 1st August 2026| York House, Stony Stratford
Tickets £12 with £10 concessions and £5 for under 14s

Our 50th Anniversary Logo
Wolverton G&S was formed in 1974 and we gave our first performance in May 1975. We commissioned a special logo to mark the anniversary from Charlotte Crane who designed our main logo.
