Mike Crofts

Mike Crofts joined us as musical director in 1994 for a very successful production of HMS Pinafore with Sylvia Hope-Urwin directing. His inspiration and support took the society through 26 years of wonderful shows. He is of course the guiding light of the Wolverton Light Orchestra as well as Secklow Brass and numerous other musical endeavours. This society owes a huge debt of gratitude to Mike. He always found a way to bring the absolute best from his singers.

Mike conducted us through the entire G&S canon and many more shows besides. His last show with us was the ill-fated “Calamity Jane” which was sunk by the pandemic in 2020.

Mike is a bit camera shy. Strange for such a fine looking chap. But that’s why we only have these two images for you.
