The first production

Wolverton G&S have performed Patience 4 times.

We first performed Patience back in 1981. It was directed by Phill Street and Arnold Jones was the musical director. Patience herself was played by Tricia Goldsmith and Syd Pearson and Leigh Harris were the battling poets.

Our photograph shows Syd and Leigh in the famous ‘fight’ scene. It’s an AI enhanced copy of the 1981 original.

Further productions came in 1992 and 2007. Our last outing was in 2014 and it is, of course, our 2025 main show.

In 2014, Patience was played by Paula Fraser and Graham Mitchell and Graham Healing were the poets. That performance was directed by Graham Breeze and Mike Crofts was the musical director.
