The first production

Wolverton G&S have performed The Yeomen of the Guard 5 times.

Our first production of Yeomen was in 1982. The photograph on this page is an AI enhanced copy of the original. It shows our current president Angela Bowen as Phoebe resisting the sinister attentions of Wilfred Shadbolt, deliciously played by Colin Ware.

Ken Sprague was Colonel Fairfax in that production and Tricia Goldsmith played Elsie.

That 1982 show was directed by Phil Street and the musical director was Arnold Jones

Further productions followed in 1991, 1997 and 2002. Our most recent performance of this show was in 2013 directed by Graham Breeze. Mike Crofts was the musical director.

In that most recent production, Graham Mitchell was Colonel Fairfax and Paula Fraser played Elsie.
