Our first production

Wolverton G&S have performed HMS Pinafore 7 times.

Our first production was our inaugural show in 1975. The photo on this page is an AI enhanced copy of the 49 year old original. It shows a young Clarence Gill and Syd Pearson in the crew. Tom Clayton was Sir Joseph and Capt Corcoran was played by Reg Baker. Pat Charlesworth was Josephine and our president Angela Bowen was a youthful Buttercup.

That show was directed by Fred Wells and the musical director was Arnold Jones

Further productions followed in 1983, 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2015. Our most recent performance of this show was in 2023 directed by Paula Fraser and under the baton of David Anstice-Pim.
